About me
I’m Emily, and I’ve been grooming for over 14 years. I hold Level 3 qualifications with both City & Guilds and OCN, and I’m passionate about providing calm, expert care for both cats and dogs. My salon, based at Green Lane Farm in Enham, offers a peaceful, rural setting where pets can feel relaxed and safe.
I especially enjoy grooming poodles and doodles, and I have a real soft spot for senior pets and rescues. Every groom is tailored to the individual animal, with a gentle, patient approach that ensures each pet receives the same care and attention I give my own.
I’m committed to continually improving my skills and regularly attend seminars to stay up to date with the latest techniques and industry standards.
Thank you for visiting my site — I can’t wait to welcome you and your lovely pets.

Bio
My love for animals began when I was young, spending countless hours on my grandmother’s smallholding. We cared for everything from ducks and geese to goats, cats, dogs, and horses. Our home was always a safe haven for rescues, and I have vivid memories of helping raise litters of kittens. My grandmother’s passion for German Shepherds and Border Collies deeply influenced my mum, who went on to train these breeds for obedience, trials, and shows, and even worked as a veterinary nurse. Growing up surrounded by these dogs taught me early on how much care and grooming they needed — and that’s where my own passion for grooming truly began.
In 2001, I started working weekends in a grooming salon inside Petsmart. It was a turning point for me. I absorbed everything I could about different breeds and techniques, inspired by an employer whose enthusiasm for grooming was infectious. When the salon later relocated, my time there ended, but the spark had already been lit.
In 2013, I joined a pet retailer where I was able to step fully into the world of dog grooming. I received extensive training, completed my Intro Level 3 City & Guilds qualification, and earned multiple certifications. I eventually became a salon manager, opened new salons, and was honoured to receive the Salon Manager of the Year award. Many of the friendships I made during this time are still incredibly important to me.
By 2017, I knew it was time to take the next step — opening my own grooming business at Green Lane Farm. Around the same time, I welcomed my first show Whippet, Olive, who has qualified for Crufts several times. My dogs are often with me at the farm, and they’re very much part of the Green Lane Groomer family.
I’m committed to ongoing education and professional development. I completed my Level 3 OCN Diploma and regularly attend webinars, seminars, and first aid training to stay current with the latest techniques and welfare standards. I also follow the key principles of the Animal Welfare Act 2006 to ensure every pet in my care receives the highest standard of treatment.
